How often do you run group classes?
In Glenview, we run a 7-week session 3 times per year--Fall, Winter, Spring.
We cover a few dances in each session; so, it's best to take at least 3 sessions to get a foundation. If you
want to specialize in something, you can continue with private lessons.
Do I need a partner? Does everyone rotate?
How many times can I take the same class?
In each class, there are students who have been coming for years. The material varies each session, so you'll always get new material plus review.
How do I know if I'm ready for the next level?
How many dances can you learn in each session?
The instructor will let you know. If you're deficient in a few areas and just need a little extra coaching to advance, then taking some private lessons would help you get there.
In a group class, the couples stay together and the singles rotate among themselves.
